Emmetts Acquires Rosenberg Machinery Group
Privately held Victorian John Deere dealer, Emmetts, announced the acquisition of South Australian based John Deere dealer, Rosenberg Machinery Group Holdings,
effective from14 October 2015. RMGH was a family run business that featured dealerships in key South Australian agricultural regions, including cropping, horticulture, irrigation and grazing. Emmetts' managing director Peter Emmett said the acquisition was in line with the company's strategic growth objective. "Emmetts has recognised over the past years that we needed to grow our dealership footprint and the opportunity with Rosenberg's is a good fit for both businesses."
Emmetts operates four dealerships across Victoria's Wimmera Mallee and the acquisition provided the company greater exposure to diversified agricultural practices and the scale to provide world-class sales and integrated service solutions. And with the RMGH aquisistion, Emmetts now operates dealerships in Kadina, Murray Bridge, Parndana (Kangaroo Island), Pinnaroo, Renmark and Roseworthy as well, employing more than 100 staff.
